Meet Your Hosts!

Hello and welcome!

We are thrilled to be your hostesses for the 2025 Dawn Doll Convention! We’ve been busy bees planning what’s sure to be a fun-filled, exciting day for all!

This year ‘s convention will be held in the historic, beautiful town of Portsmouth, New Hampshire on November 1, 2025. Contests, prize tables, and games will lead us down memory lane with our favorite friends!!

The theme for the 2025 convention will be “That 70's Show “celebrating our favorite TV shows throughout the ’70’s (think Partridge Family, Mod Squad, Wonder Woman, and I Dream of Jeannie). We plan to pack the day with many time-honored traditions and perhaps start a few new ones!

We (Mary & Dawna) met at the Dawn Convention in Orlando, Florida and have been great friends ever since!  We were both lucky enough to live in the state of Washington and were able to visit frequently until 2020. In 2020, Mary moved back home to the state of Maine to be closer to her aging parents, an opportunity she was so thankful to have! Dawna spends her time between Washington state and Idaho throughout the year.

Mary’s first Dawn doll was a gift she asked for (and received) for Christmas in the early ‘70s.  While she no longer has the doll, she still possesses the “Dear Santa” letter written by her sister because she was still too young to write (see letter attached below).  She soon obtained Glori, Angie and Dale….and eventually along came Longlocks who will forever be her favorite!   Oh…that hair!!  Eventually she moved on to other interests, but never forgot Dawn dolls and later when she discovered an entire community of enthusiasts, a hobby and new friends ensued.

Dawna started collecting Dawn dolls and those gorgeous outfits when she was around 8 years old. She remembers seeing rows of Dawn dolls and outfits at the local Wigwam and Ben Franklin stores.  Glori was always her favorite. Her favorite accessories are those tiny shoes! She secretly has over 100 pairs.  She discovered the Dawn Doll Community in 2008 and is now able to say she’s a collector not a hoarder!

Mary is thrilled to be hosting again this time, for “That 70’s Show”, celebrating Dawn during her original glory days.  Our bet is that at least one of us, at one time, watched one or more of these iconic television shows with a Dawn doll close at hand!

We look forward to seeing old friends and new ones alike while celebrating the Wonderful World of Dawn!
